Terminal A Enhanced Parking Garage and Connector Bridge**
DFW International Airport
The project consisted of construction of a new parking garage and a connector bridge at the DFW airport. Existing parking garage was demolished prior to the construction of the new parking garage. Recommendations were provided for preserving the existing moist soil conditions thus reducing the extent of subgrade improvement to keep the PVR below 1-inch. This resulted in substantial construction cost savings to the airport. Drilled piers bearing in the shale were recommended for the parking garage and the connector bridge. Project also included MSE wall analysis, concrete retaining wall analysis and slope stability analysis.
